For Contributors For Applicants For Scholars For Media |
The FAWR project grant funding provides small grants to applicants who are engaged in activism, faith-based projects, and other forms of practical work that advances the mission of the Foundation. Funding is provided according to need and availability of funds. Please send a letter of inquiry to the Foundation. If we consider your proposal to be congruent with our mission, we will contact you with further application information. Please read the mission statement of the Foundation as a guide to the kinds of projects we might consider. Also, consider requesting sponsorship or scholarship if your project has a scholarly component to it. Grant Inquiries Once you are ready to proceed, these are the steps that you will need to follow: 1. Send us a letter of inquiry briefly outlining your project and how you think it fits with the mission of the Foundation. Give us an estimate of your costs and other sources of funding. 2. We will contact you with a response within 6 weeks. At this time, we will either inform you that we are considering your project more seriously and we will ask you to submit a more detailed proposal or we will send you a letter of regret. 3. If we are considering your project, we will ask you to provide several detailed documents including budgets, timelines, deliverables, and other information. 4. These data will be reviewed by a committee and a determination will be made as to how much funding we can provide. 5. The final steps will be to send you an acceptance letter and set up reporting guidelines and project oversight. Please note: Preference will be given to projects that are small and have a high chance of being completed within a year to two years. Further, preference will be given to those projects that have multiple sources of funding. |
